"This double-distilled straight bourbon whiskey celebrates Evacuation Day, a legal holiday in Suffolk County, Massachusetts. This law has been recognized since March 17, 1941, when the state's governor signed the bill into law using black and green ink. The choice of green ink was no coincidence. Evacuation Day officially commemorates the end of the Siege of Boston, which took place when British troops evacuated the city on March 17, 1776, supported by cannons delivered by Henry Knox from Crown Point and Ticonderoga, NY. Notably, this also coincides with St. Patrick's Day, a celebration first observed in the Thirteen Colonies 39 years earlier by the Charitable Irish Society of Boston on March 17, 1737.
This 80-proof four-grain bourbon is made with New York corn, malted barley, rye, and wheat that carries notes of fresh corn, vanilla beans, wildflowers, and maple syrup."
